“If you’ve ever talked to a parent who has a fussy baby, forget the ‘just,’” says Marie Anzalone, OTR, ScD, FAOTA, assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond. “It is one of the most difficult things to live with. You are ‘supposed’ to be able to nurture and soothe your baby, but what if you can’t make your baby feel better? That’s about as hard as it gets on a parent.”
