Objectives:
The goal of this program is to provide occupational therapists with practical guidelines for assessing and managing the care of elders who experience dizziness. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to —
- Classify and differentiate among the types of dizziness.
- Describe age-related and pathologic causes of dizziness
in elders. - Outline the essential elements in the assessment of patients with dizziness and in the implementation of interventions, including rationales.
