Responsibilities:

We are seeking an Occupational Therapits for a part time position. OT's are responsible for evaluating and assessing patients's need for occupational therapy services and develops a plan of care in conjunction with the physician.  They will deliver appropriate care within the scope of practice and within all state and federal regulations.   OT's on staff will conduct initial visits as well as follow-up revisits. OT's will also utilize EHR for all patient documentation.

 

All Occupational Therapists will schedule and perform home visits to evaluate a patient's need for OT services. Hired candidates will participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to report on patient's progress and assist other team members in development of appropriate care plans. Other duties include instructing other health care professionals and family members in appropriate occupational therapy techniques related to home programs and job safety. This position will be required to attend in-service and continuing education programs in order to maintain clinical competency.



Qualifications:

Education Requirements: Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy or a Certificate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

 

This position requires experience having the ability to conceptualize, interpret and integrate occupational therapy into the comprehensive home health care approach. Minimum of one year experience as an occupational therapist is required. Previous home health experience is preferred.
