OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Occupational Therapist, with appropriate education, training, and licensure evaluates patients while considering influencing psycho-social factors, plans treatment programs and performs therapy procedures to restore function, prevent disability, and maximize the potential and quality of life following disease, injury, or surgery.  Appropriately modifies treatment plans and procedures specific to pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients, uses appropriate communication techniques for specific age groups and applies knowledge of growth and development and the aging process to achieve optimal results.

The successful candidate must be a graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelors of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in a program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.  Licensed by the state of North Carolina is required.  One (1) or more years experience in an acute care facility also required.  Must have experience with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
